Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius is trying to make contact with an alien civilization. Unbeknownst to him a statellite he launches (okay it's the kitchen toaster but it works!) is picked up by alien species. In the dark of night the aliens fly their war ships-looking like a fleet of rubber chickens to earth and abduct all the parents in Jimmy's hometown of Retroville. So it's up to Jimmy to create a fleet of space ships from the rides at the town's new amusement park (hey he's a genius remember?) and launch them into orbit in a bid to rescue the abducted parent's of Retroville But Jimmy better hurry! Because the aliens are preparing to use the parents as human sacrifices! With his robotic dog Goddar and his best friend Carl by his side Jimmy and the rest of the kids in Retroville take to the skies on a trip that's sure to be a blast! Jimmy Neutron, the feature that launches Nickelodeon's attempt to create a new children's franchise, plays like a cross between Rugrats and Dexter's Laboratory in outer space. Accompanied by his cyberdog Goddard, "boy genius" James Isaac Neutron (voiced by Debi Derryberry) invents fantastic devices that work only sporadically and with decidedly mixed results. The communications satellite he makes out of his mother's toaster allows for a race of gooey, egg-shaped aliens to kidnap the adults in Jimmy's town with the intent of sacrificing the parents to their chicken-god. Converting amusement park rides into spaceships, Jimmy saves the day, despite a few false starts and misadventures. Several of the characters feel like slightly older versions of Rugrats: smart-alecky Cindy (Carolyn Lawrence) resembles Angelica; sniffling nerd Carl (Rob Paulsen), Chuckie. The most original member of the cast is Sheen (Jeff Garcia), the maladroit devotee of superhero Ultralord--a very funny spoof of cartoon fandom. The characters look more like plastic toys than human beings. Instead of the thousands of individual hairs on the heads of the realistic figures in Final Fantasy, Jimmy sports a one-piece hairdo that recalls a soft-serve ice cream cone. The animation is weightless and the acting minimal, but the often quirky story carries the limited visuals and will appeal to elementary school kids. An urban legend defies the scientific process in "The Phantom of Retroland," and Jimmy discovers that you really can have too much of a good thing in "Happy Birthday to You." Jimmy's oversized head swells to even more enormous proportions when the power of being appointed hall monitor goes to his head in "Hall Monster," and it's a frightening day for all involved when Cindy and Jimmy get inside each other's heads in "Trading Faces." Jimmy Neutron - Confusion Fusion

The boy genius with the soft-serve hairdo and his geeky buddies indulge in scientific experiments that boggle the mind and put the universe out of kilter in nine 11-minute episodes from the Nickelodeon television series. Fortunately, Jimmy always sees the errors of his meddling ways and figures out an antidote before the second Ice Age is irreversible or electricity becomes un-invented, depending on the particular jam he's created. Jimmy brings Thomas Edison to the future to back him up in a classroom argument, shrinks his granny to an acerbic talking baby, sends his dad back in time to make good on a lost investment, sprays sunblock into the atmosphere in order to cool down on a summer's day and invents computerized instruments so he and his pals can show off at the school talent show. He fits his pants with a computer chip so they'll pick themselves up, tries to make himself into a boy of normal intelligence, and creates a salesman robot as well as an overly energetic, too-talented robotic brother. There's some gross-out humor and adults come off as silly, but then so do the kids. (Ages 5 and older)

The worlds of Jimmy Neutron and Timmy Turner (Farily OddParents) collide in a second Jimmy Timmy Power Hour when each boy decides to ask Cindy Vortex to accompany them to their respective Friday the 13th dances in "When Nerds Collide." Jimmy and Timmy challenge each other to a "nerd fight" to win over Cindy and soon Jimmy, Carl, Sheen, and Libby, followed by Professor Calamitous, find themselves headed to Dimmsdale on a quest to prove that Timmy is a fake genius. Timmy's Fairy Godparents Cosmo and Wanda manage to protect Timmy and their own secret existence, but Professor Calamitous accidentally releases a swarm of anti-fairies while in Crocker's lab. The anti-fairies stop the earth's rotation back in Retroville, effectively creating an endlessly unlucky Friday the 13th. Meanwhile, head fairy Jorgan becomes increasingly irate at Sheen and Carl's blatant violation the rules of fairy power and both universes seem destined for large-scale calamity. As in the original Jimmy Timmy Power Hour, the animation styles change from computer-animation to cel-animation and back again as the action jumps from one universe to the other--a source of amusement for viewers and of derision for the continually morphing characters and their counterparts. Also included are three Fairly OddParents episodes, "A Mile in my Shoes," "Most Wanted Wish," and "Miss. When Jimmy accidentally teleports himself into Timmy's bedroom with a gizmo created by Timmy's Fairy Godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, Timmy interrupts Goddard's reprogramming by booting up a violent video game that severely changes the dog's disposition. Thanks to some re-stylization, friends, parents, and teachers mistake the new big-headed, bumpy, computer-animated Timmy and small-headed, spindly-armed, cel-animated Jimmy for one another. Crazy predicaments abound, including a budding romance between Cindy Vortex and Timmy and a much-awaited trip to Fairy World for Timmy's teacher, Mr. Crocker. In the end, Fairy World's very existence is threatened and a monster Goddard seems destined to destroy Retroville. After a horrific encounter with an abominable, six foot space beast, Jimmy returns from an excavation on the Twonkus-3 comet with a small furry creature burrowed in his soil samples. The Twonky is an immediate hit, especially after it coughs up a dozen more identical colorful creatures just like it. In the presence of music, these dream pets morph into violent and wild monsters and proceed to tear the town apart. Now it's up to Jimmy to gather up the Twonkies before the Twonkus-3 comet leaves earth's orbit and Retroville is stuck with the menacing varmints.
